Creating Sacred Memories October 21, 2008

Rituals and traditions are an important part of family life.  They connect us to each other, build healthy families and instill important values in our children.  Rituals and traditions are also a way of building faith in families and creating sacred memories that help build the foundation for a child’s faith.  Come and learn from our own Rachel Poysky, Associate Pastor to Children and Youth, about the ways we can create intentional sacred space and moments in our homes and families.

MOMS' Basic Needs Outreach Drive for 2008 - 2009

This year MDPC MOMS will seek to provide basic needs for the children of Casa de Esperanza de los Niños-the House of Hope for Children-is a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect, or the effects of HIV/AIDS.  Currently 85% of children in placement are in diapers.  The children of Casa de Esperanza are in need of more than 300 diapers every day.  The donation of diapers and/or diaper wipes helps to defray what would otherwise be a very large expense.  At each monthly meeting, MOMS will collect much needed diapers and wipes to donate to the facility.  Look for the donation boxes at every MOMS meeting.  Thank you for reaching out to support children in need.
